Scott Hepple & The Sun Band announce Wyrd Seasons for October 30

Scott Hepple & The Sun Band

Scott Hepple & The Sun Band have announced Wyrd Seasons, a new album arriving October 30 via Rise Above Records' Popclaw imprint. The Newcastle quartet's fourth release follows 2024's English Mustard and opens with a first single, "Stranger," alongside an official promo video directed by William Wistow.

Recorded on an 8-track tape machine during summer and autumn 2025 in their Newcastle studio, the ten-song set moves through hard rock, psychedelia and slower ballads. Hepple notes the songs were written largely between 2 and 4 a.m., and that the band deliberately moved away from ultra-1970s revivalism toward something more immediate. Standout tracks include the heavy "Kailash" and "Stranger," written on an Omnichord.

A short European run precedes a November–December tour with Kadavar; an early-2027 headline tour is also being finalised. Wyrd Seasons is available for pre-order now.
