Tokyo-based psychedelic rock trio Tō Yō have released their second studio album Yardang (XAG075) on EXAG' Records, following their 2023 debut. The record was shaped by two years of live improvisation and recorded/mastered by Shigeharu Yokoya with mixing by Masami Makino. Three extended pieces — Kosa, Agi and the 13-minute Marconi Transmitter — move from raw guitar freakouts into hypnotic, trance-like repetition, reflecting both heavy psych and Tokyo’s underground club pulse. Artwork is by drummer Hibiki Amano, who generated 3D forms from the tracks’ waveforms. Yardang is out now on vinyl and streaming platforms, with an extensive European tour scheduled for October and November 2026.
