Gothenburg psychedelic doom band Häxmästaren return on 2 November with Skuggor Del 1, a three-song EP on Majestic Mountain Records. It is their first release in five years since Sol i Exil (2021), arriving with a revamped lineup: Simon Hansson on vocals and Joakim Atterfelt on drums join guitarists Fredrik Frendberg and Andreas Petersson, who shared bass duties. Recorded with producer Kalle Lilja at Welfare Studios, the 17-minute EP opens with Shadows of the Black Sun, moves through the ripper Kill the Light, and closes with the eight-minute title track Skuggor. The lead single Skuggor is already out with an official video on the band's YouTube channel. The EP is positioned as the first installment of a larger full-length.
