Godflesh announce Decay, tenth and penultimate album, on Relapse Records

Godflesh

Birmingham industrial titans Godflesh have announced Decay, their tenth and penultimate album, due 25 September 2026 via Relapse Records — their first outside Justin Broadrick's Avalanche Recordings since the 2010 reunion.

The six tracks (Master and Slave, Living/Ending, Feral Colony, Fear Of Man, Fodder, Consume Me) originate from the same sessions as 2023's Purge. Broadrick held them back while seeking a label; Relapse stepped in. Lead single "Living/Ending" is out now with a visualiser.

Broadrick underwent major abdominal surgery earlier in 2026; the hernia was exacerbated by years of Godflesh vocal performance. He states Godflesh is now "physically impossible" for him, making Decay the penultimate statement. Pre-orders for vinyl (multiple limited variants), CD and cassette are open via Relapse Records.
