Elephant 6 psych-pop band The Olivia Tremor Control will release The Same Place on 23 October 2026. It is their third and final studio album, and their first since 1999's Black Foliage: Animation Music Volume One. The 27-track double album draws on recordings begun more than two decades ago by co-founders Bill Doss and Will Cullen Hart, who died in 2012 and 2024 respectively.

After Hart's death, the surviving members completed the material with Elephant 6 collaborators and producers Derek Almstead, Jason NeSmith and Ron Kwasman, following notes Hart left behind. Previously released songs “The Same Place” and “Garden of Light” appear on the record.

Elephant 6's official store lists vinyl, CD and digital editions. The album brings a carefully finished final chapter to a band whose layered tape experiments and melodic psychedelia helped define the Elephant 6 collective.
