A choice archival pick for the video section: Elder's full set from Freak Valley Festival 2022, captured by WDR Rockpalast. The Massachusetts trio — Nick DiSalvo (guitar, vocals), Jack Donovan (bass), Georg Edert (drums) — deliver a career-spanning performance that moves between the proggy expanses of Omens and The Gold & Silver Sessions and the heavier, riff-driven attack of Lore and Reflections of a Floating World. Filmed at the festival's 2022 edition in Netphen-Deuz, Germany, the broadcast shows why Elder have become a cornerstone of the modern heavy psych scene: DiSalvo's fluid leads, Donovan's melodic bass anchoring, and Edert's dynamic drumming lock into a telepathic interplay that feels both composed and exploratory. For viewers new to the band, this set works as a concise entry point; for longtime followers, it's a reminder of how potent the trio format remains in their hands.
