Japanese psychedelic institution Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. have launched VISUALISTA, an open call for visual and video artists to create original works using the collective's music for their official YouTube channel. After more than twenty years and hundreds of releases, the group has never produced an official promotional video, though countless unofficial visual works and concert recordings circulate online. The initiative invites submissions of any length — from one minute to ten hours — spanning CG, animation, film, live footage, and remixes. Copyright will be shared between the artists and Acid Mothers Temple. Submissions should be sent to temple@acidmothers.com via file transfer. The first VISUALISTA entries have already appeared on the band's official YouTube channel, marking a new phase of community engagement for one of psychedelic rock's most prolific collectives.
