Valley of the Sun premiere "A Greater Meaning" video ahead of Friday album release

Valley of the Sun

Cincinnati heavy psych trio Valley of the Sun have premiered the video for "A Greater Meaning", the third advance track from their sixth album The Blacklight Sessions, due 2 October via Heavy Psych Sounds. The clip, filmed by the band across Ohio, Tunisia, Germany and California, accompanies a concise desert-riffed strut that sits between the record's two extended pieces "The Long Song" (10:30) and "Mountain" (9:41). The full six-track, 41-minute set was produced by John Naclerio at Nada Studio and features artwork by Jarrod Warf. Two earlier singles — the instrumental "The Whiskey Elf" and "Low Not Slow" — are already streaming. Valley of the Sun (Ryan Ferrier guitar/vocals, Chris Sweeney bass, Johnny Kathman drums) launch a European tour on 2 October at Tabernas Desert Rock Fest in Almería, Spain, continuing through Germany, Poland, Austria, Slovakia, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Sweden into mid-November. Pre-orders for vinyl, CD and digital are open at Heavy Psych Sounds and Bandcamp.
