New York psychedelic duo White Hills will release Collected Consciousness on 30 October 2026 through Argonauta Records. The album compiles material originally issued on tour-only CDr editions, now reimagined and remixed at 60b Studios in New York into two side-long pieces titled Phase One and Phase Two.

The announcement describes the project as a transformation of archival recordings rather than a straightforward reissue. Dave W. and Ego Sensation have reassembled alternative mixes into continuous compositions, drawing on the studio methods of Dieter Dierks and the Cosmic Jokers sessions. The vinyl edition is limited to 500 copies on 180 g coloured gatefold vinyl.

White Hills have operated at the fringes of neo-psychedelia, art rock and post-punk for two decades, with releases on Thrill Jockey, Rocket Recordings, Fuzz Club and their own Heads On Fire imprint. Their music featured in Jim Jarmusch's film Only Lovers Left Alive. On the evidence of the 18-minute Phase Two track currently streaming on Bandcamp, the reworking favours immersive drift over nostalgia — the source material is recognizable but the collage structure gives it a different weight.

Pre-orders are open via Argonauta Records and the band's Bandcamp page.
