Umus Release Debut Funeral Doom Album Voidlit

Umus

Russian funeral doom project Umus have released their debut album Voidlit on 13 October via UK label Aesthetic Death. The trio — V. (guitars, bass), E. (growls, clean vocals) and R. (drums, backing vocals) — includes members of the post-metal band Crust. Across four tracks spanning 51 minutes, Voidlit moves through slow, atmospheric funeral doom and dark ambient textures, tracing a descent into grief, isolation and spiritual decay. David Bowes' review on Echoes and Dust highlights the album's claustrophobic yet vast sound, noting sparse melodies buried deep in the mix that offer fleeting glimpses of light. The record is available on gatefold 2LP, digi CD and digitally. A full-album premiere streams on the 666MrDoom YouTube channel.
