Stoned Jesus announce Songs to Moon, share 'Velvet' video

Ukrainian heavy progressive rockers Stoned Jesus have announced their new album Songs to Moon, due 16 October via Season of Mist. The record is the second chapter in a planned trilogy that began with 2025's Songs to Sun. The lead single 'Velvet' arrives with a '90s-style official video directed by Mykyta Donets; a previous single, 'Under the Skin', was issued in June.
Frontman Igor Sydorenko describes the new material as bolder, more haunting and introspective than its predecessor, drawing parallels to Led Zeppelin III, Opeth's Damnation and Alice In Chains' Jar of Flies. The seven-track set moves from the loud post-metal opener 'Under the Skin' through the doomgaze hook of 'Velvet', the mini-prog opera 'Jackal' and the acoustic closing stretch 'Window in My Room' / 'One More Empty Day'.
Songs to Moon was recorded at Goblin Sound Studio in Cologne with Karl Daniel Lidén handling mixing and mastering at Studio Tri-Lamb in Sweden. Cover art is by Vadym 'Karaska' Karasiov. Pre-orders for vinyl, CD and digital are open. Stoned Jesus play WeStill Fest in France on 30 October.
