Sledding, a Brooklyn band, have shared a new single and video for Covert Station, taken from their forthcoming debut EP Sleep Tight due November 20. The song follows My Golden Tempo, which introduced the group back in August. Sledding formed last winter in a Ridgewood basement. Singer-guitarists Aidan Drouse and Khadija Deej Aslam had been playing together since their Fordham University days. With bassist Kelsey Kussman and guitarist-keyboardist Woods Prewitt, they developed a sound blending post-punk and 1990s alternative rock with darker, more ominous energy. Covert Station is considerably darker than their earlier single. The five-track EP also includes AndAgain, Lorelai and Did you know there are chords living down here?
