Echoes and Dust reviews Pardoner's Target Practice ahead of October 16 release

San Francisco indie-rock quartet Pardoner release their fifth album Target Practice on 16 October via Bar/None Records. Echoes and Dust reviewer Ljubinko Zivkovic describes the record as a college-rock revival with strong melodic hooks throughout its eleven tracks, noting the band's knack for guitar-driven arrangements and high-quality vocals. The review highlights opener 'Canary' with its saxophone cameo and the single 'Don't Slouch' as early standouts. Two tracks are already streaming via Bandcamp pre-order. Pardoner — Max Freeland, Trey Flanigan, River van den Berghe and Colin Burris — have been active since 2015; Target Practice follows 2023's Peace Loving People and the 2024 EP Paranoid In Hell.
