Instrumental space and psych-progressive project Northern Lights released 'So Below' on 2 October 2026. The five-track, 30-minute album completes the narrative arc begun on 'As Above' (2023). Its sci-fi storyline follows 'The Dude', who returns to a devastated Earth, connects with survivors of an alien invasion, undergoes metamorphosis and enters the alien hive for a final confrontation. Stylistically, the album integrates heavy psych, space rock, stoner rock and progressive rock across five distinct movements. Following several years of inactivity, the remaining band members reunited to complete unreleased recordings, audio mastering and visual artwork. A full 4K visualizer for the entire album is available on the project's YouTube channel. The album is available on Bandcamp, Spotify and other streaming platforms.
