Japanese trio maya ongaku have released Nothing Space Music, their fourth album, through Guruguru Brain and Bayon Production. The digital edition arrived on 7 August 2026, with vinyl following on 15 September. The eight-track set was written and arranged collectively by the band — Tsutomu Sonoda, Ryota Takano and Shoei Ikeda — and recorded at their self-built Nothing Space Studio near a seaside shrine in the Shonan area. Sonoda handled recording and mixing; mastering is by Soushi Mizuno at studio MASS. The album's title reflects the group's guiding principle of 自然発生, spontaneous occurrence, and the music moves through psychedelic folk, dub-inflected ambience and quiet improvisation. Pre-orders for the coloured vinyl and digital editions are open via Bandcamp and the Guruguru Brain webstore.
