A curated archive selection for the Videos section: Kikagaku Moyo's official music video for "Cardboard Pile", directed by Katsushika Shusshin, from the band's 2022 album Kumoyo Island on Guruguru Brain. The Tokyo quintet, whose name translates as "Geometric Patterns", have been a cornerstone of the Japanese neo-psychedelia scene since 2012, blending sitar-drone textures, motorik rhythms and West Coast psych-pop harmonies. This video premiered on the band's official YouTube channel on 14 May 2022. We present it today as a gateway to the Japanese psychedelic underground, not as a new release.
