German krautrock pioneers Guru Guru, led by drummer and vocalist Mani Neumeier, performed at Cologne's Studio L for the legendary Rockpalast series in 1976. The concert captures the band at the height of their improvisational powers, blending motorik rhythms, psychedelic guitar explorations and Neumeier's distinctive vocals. Guru Guru formed in 1968 and, alongside Can and Faust, helped define the krautrock sound. This full concert recording, preserved by the MIG Music archive, remains a primary document of the band's live intensity. Original performance date: 1976; video curated for the archive on 13 October 2026.
