New Gary Marks interview on Crossroads and his 1970s albums

It's Psychedelic Baby Magazine has published a new interview with Gary Marks, the American singer-songwriter whose 1970s albums featured John Scofield, Paul McCandless and other musicians who later became major jazz names. The conversation, posted on 21 October 2026, centers on Crossroads, his Record Store Day UK/Europe 2026 album released on 17 April 2026 through Lantern Heights Records. The fourteen tracks span 1976 to the 2020s; nine were previously unreleased. Marks discusses the singles "Castles" (1976) and "I Guess It Never Stops" (1988), his novel The Dance and the Diamond Sky, and why he released the three songs together before the US midterm elections — as both a call to action and a warning. Crossroads is streaming on Bandcamp.
