Japanese psychedelic institution Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. released a tour documentary in April 2026 capturing their European spring run. The video, posted on the band's official YouTube channel, documents performances from the 'Survive to Metaverse' tour leg across Europe before the group embarked on their month-long US tour in October. The lineup features Kawabata Makoto (guitar, electronics), Higashi Hiroshi (synthesizer), Jyonson Tsu (voice, guitar, bouzouki), Satoshima Nani (drums) and Sawano Shozo (bass), with Cotton Casino (voice, synthesizer) joining for the first week of the US dates. The footage conveys the collective's improvisational motorik-psych — Kawabata's searing guitar, Higashi's synth drones and the hypnotic pulse of the rhythm section — in a series of club and festival settings. Acid Mothers Temple have operated since 1995 as a shifting 'soul collective' around Kawabata Makoto; this spring 2026 document records one incarnation of their ongoing voyage through acid-drenched improvisation, motorik repetition and cosmic synthesis.
