From the archive: Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. live in Nagoya, 2001

The official Acid Mothers Temple YouTube channel hosts the full 2001 Nagoya concert by Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O., originally released in 2002 as the limited CD-R AMTCD-006 (2000 copies). Recorded on 9 December 2001 at TOKUZO in Nagoya, the 68-minute set captures Kawabata Makoto's soaring guitar in three expansive movements: 'Cosmic Introduction ~ Untitled Space', 'In E', and 'La Novia ~ Speed Guru'. The line-up features Cotton Casino (vocals, synthesizer), Tsuyama Atsushi (bass, vocals), Higashi Hiroshi (guitar, synthesizer), dual drummers Ichiraku Yoshimitsu and Koizumi Hajime, and Kawabata Makoto on guitar. Remastered by Kawabata for Bandcamp in 2020, this archival document preserves a foundational performance of the Japanese acid-psych underground that later spawned the Guruguru Brain label and influenced acts such as Kikagaku Moyo and Minami Deutsch. For listeners tracing the lineage of modern Japanese psychedelia, this concert is an essential entry point.
