TRAVO release Wasteland, their heaviest album yet

Portuguese heavy-psych four-piece TRAVO release their fourth album Wasteland today via Fuzz Club Records. Recorded in early 2026 at ARDA Recorders in Porto with producer Jaime Arellano (Ghost, Ulver, Behemoth), the seven-track set marks a shift from the fantasy themes of 2023's Astromorph God toward more immediate anxieties — techno-anxiety, disconnection, dystopia, and the search for collective spirituality, each song loosely keyed to a section of T. S. Eliot's The Waste Land. The band describe the writing as compressed into a single intense month of rehearsals, a pressure they say bled into the music's urgency. Musically, Wasteland fuses dark psychedelic and industrial textures with TRAVO's established krautrock and space-rock vocabulary: fast corrosive passages, slow-burning epics, vocals ranging from falsetto to growls, and the band's most synth-heavy arrangements to date. The first single, Burial, arrived with an official video in September; a visualiser for the title track followed. Physical pre-orders are handled by Fuzz Club (UK/EU/US), Spinda Records (Spain) and Gig.Rocks (Portugal).
