Berlin-based psychedelic doom quartet Stoned Medusa have released their debut EP Wait For The Flowers To Die, independently issued on 9 August 2026. The four-track record — Darkest Forest, Wait For The Flowers To Die, Death Inside, In The Aftermath — is streaming on Bandcamp, YouTube and major platforms.

The group formed in late 2023 from a series of doom jams and comprises Rebecca Sieber (vocals), Marek Kyncl (guitars), Kai Fredrik Günther (bass) and Franziska Kühn (drums). Their two-couple lineup has earned them the tongue-in-cheek nickname "the ABBA of Doom," but the music draws on psychedelic rock, doom, jazz, blues, stoner, grunge and trip-hop without settling in any single category. Vocals shift from distant, haunting melodies to raw screams and growls; lyrics address ecological collapse and forgotten futures.

Recorded by Wladimir Lutko, mixed and mastered by Gerrit Haasler at Blackstone Studios, with artwork by Andri Pramudiana Setiawan. Doomed Nation premiered the release on 13 October, noting the band's self-description as "the perfect soundtrack to humanity's slow descent into darkness."
