SSMMÜT announce 'A Blight on the Perfect Organism of Death', premiere 'An Dullahan'

SSMMÜT

SSMMÜT, the shape-shifting project of Berlin-based producer and illustrator Robert Mirolo, will release 'A Blight on the Perfect Organism of Death' on 30 October through Cursed Monk Records, on CD and digital. The nine-track, 31-minute album moves between doom, kosmische textures and ambient passages that collapse into blackened sludge; 'An Dullahan' premieres as the first public preview. Mirolo employs a rotating cast including Leonard Traynor on bass, Kev Sheridan on drums and guest vocalists Charlie Cryer and Gabrielė Šadzevičiūtė, with drums and guitars recorded by Fabien De Menou at Monoton Studios Berlin. The Obelisk's review notes a rawer, more visceral approach than the project's 2021 release 'Black Pools – Red Dot', with motorik krautrock rhythms surfacing amid the drones. The album is available to pre-order on Bandcamp; Mirolo also handled mixing, mastering and the cover layout.
