Go Kurosawa (Kikagaku Moyo) Releases First Solo Album 'soft shakes'

Go Kurosawa

Go Kurosawa, drummer and vocalist of Kikagaku Moyo and co-founder of the Guruguru Brain label, has released his first solo album, 'soft shakes'. Recorded between January and July 2024 in the Guruguru Brain studio in Rotterdam, the eight-track album was played, mixed and produced entirely by Kurosawa himself, with mastering by Soushi Mizuno. The record moves through acoustic and electric guitars, bass, keyboards, clarinet, trumpet, drums, organ, piano and more, with a loose, instinctive feel that Kurosawa describes as jamming with himself. Artwork was created by his partner Ao Karoui. The official video for 'moon, please', directed by Karoui, is available on the Guruguru Brain YouTube channel. Kurosawa has since relocated from Europe to Fukuoka, Japan, and describes the album as the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another.
