Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. announce US tour 'Survive to Metaverse Tour 2026'

Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O.

Japanese psychedelic collective Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. have announced a 31-date US tour for October 2026 under the banner 'Survive to Metaverse Tour 2026'. The run opens 1 October at Whistle Stop Bar in San Diego and concludes 31 October at Shannon's Corner in Long Beach, covering the West Coast, Mountain West, Midwest, South and East Coast.

The touring lineup features Cotton Casino (voice, synthesizer, astral mama, dates 1–7 October), Kawabata Makoto (guitar, electronics, speed guru), Higashi Hiroshi (synthesizer, fishing god), Jyonson Tsu (voice, guitar, bouzouki, midnight whistler), Satoshima Nani (drums, another dimension) and Sawano Shozo (bass, hex man). The group's core revolves around Kawabata Makoto, who has led the collective since its formation in the late 1990s.

The announcement notes Cotton Casino's participation for the first week only. The tour follows the collective's 2025 European dates and a May 2025 show at Cold Crash in Rezé, France, captured in a full-concert 4K video. Acid Mothers Temple's discography spans dozens of albums across multiple sub-units (U.F.O., Cosmic Inferno, SWR, Space Paranoid) on labels including their own AMT Label, P-VINE and Guruguru Brain.

Tickets are available via the venues and the band's Linktree. The tour represents a rare full US traversal by one of Japan's most enduring psychedelic rock institutions.
