Galway, Ireland's Ten Ton Slug will release the new single 'Livid' on 14 November 2026, the band's first new music since the debut album Colossal Oppressor in 2024. The digital release precedes a five-date Japan tour on 25-29 November: Osaka (HOLY MOUNTAIN), Nagoya (HUCK FINN), Shizuoka (SOUGEN) and Tokyo (CLASSIX and WILD SIDE). The Obelisk compiled the announcement from the band's social media posts, with tour travel supported by Culture Ireland.

'Livid' was recorded and mixed at Jamboja Studios by Ronnie Morgan and mastered by Johnny Kerr; the artwork is by Eoghain Wynne of Screwtape Design, and the band names a music video by Padraig Conaty. Ten Ton Slug are Tommy Carolan (drums), Pavol Rosa (bass), Sean Sullivan (guitars and vocals) and Rónán Ó hÁrrachtáin (vocals). The Irish group plays riff-heavy sludge and has shared stages with Crowbar, Corrosion of Conformity and Conan.
