Charles Hayward's Abstract Concrete have shared a new single and video, "You Will Be Happy", from their second album Guilty Buildings, due 19 November through The state51 Conspiracy. The London collective, led by This Heat co-founder Charles Hayward, recorded the six-track album at Hayward's studio in Lewisham Arthouse, with mixing by Nathan Greywater at Listening Ear. The single arrives with an official video by Lewis Hayward. Abstract Concrete debuted with a self-titled album in 2023 and have since toured eleven European countries, including appearances at Primavera. The band describe the track as "a lullaby of coercive control" built on corporate forecasts and advertising jingles, with something darker underneath the nursery-rhyme surface.
