Legendary stoner doom trio Sleep have announced Hempispheres, their first new album since 2018's The Sciences. The record will be released digitally on 3 September 2026 via Third Man Records, with physical editions following on 30 October.

The announcement arrived with lead single "The Morrisist", a hazy, riff-driven piece that finds Al Cisneros and company in familiar cosmic territory. The tracklist comprises two side-long compositions: "Have Spacesuit Will Travel" and "The Morrisist".

Sleep will support the release with a North American tour beginning 8 September in San Diego. Pre-orders are open via Third Man Records and the band's Bandcamp page. Hempispheres was recorded by Cisneros alone, marking a de facto solo continuation of the Sleep project.
