Echoes And Dust has published a new interview with Dave French about Semantron, his solo project, and the debut album Secrets of a Krummholz Heart, released 10 July 2026. French is the drummer of YOB and has also played with Steve Von Till's Harvestman and Brothers of the Sonic Cloth. In the interview, dated 19 October 2026, he describes recording the album in an off-grid cabin near Mount Adams in Washington State, with field recordings of ravens, owls, wind, rivers and melting glacier ice; Nathan Yaccino mixed it and Tad Doyle mastered it. Semantron plays UK shows 6-10 December: Birmingham (Castle & Falcon), Glasgow (St Luke's), Manchester (Rebellion), Bristol (Strange Brew), London (The Dome).
