Sacred Buzz announce self-titled debut album for October on Sound Effect Records

Berlin psych rock band Sacred Buzz have announced their self-titled debut album for 9 October via Sound Effect Records. The eight-track LP runs 42 minutes and moves through post-punk, krautrock and psychedelic rock. It was recorded in three days at Monoton Studio by Fabien de Menou, produced by Ivan Skvortsov, mixed by Pablo Thiermann (Chicos de Nazca) and mastered by Pete Maher (Fuzz Club, Bella Union, EMI). Artwork is by Indonesian artist Ardneks, whose portfolio includes Barcelona Psych Fest 2026, Kikagaku Moyo, Night Beats and Khruangbin. A vinyl pressing of 400 copies in black, coloured and special editions will ship to EU, UK and US.
The second single, "Nothing To Hide", premiered on 9 September with a video directed by Khaled AlShannan at the Trudelwindkanal in Adlershof — a 1930s aircraft spin-test facility whose egg-like concrete form echoes the eye motif on the cover. The band describe the track as a hypnotic krautrock mantra about honesty with oneself and a shift toward more psychedelic, refined elements in their sound. Sacred Buzz's 2024 EP "Radio Radiation" on Fuzzed Up & Astromoon earned critical attention across Europe and the US; this LP marks a clear evolution while retaining the group's groove-driven live energy. A support tour follows in October–December 2026.
