German band Prom on their 78-copy album 'Fooled Again': rare interview published

It's Psychedelic Baby Magazine has published a rare interview with Robby Dietz, bassist and singer of the German band Prom. Prom formed in Weil am Rhein in 1975 and dissolved at the end of 2025 after 50 years. Their sole album, 'Fooled Again', was pressed in just 78 copies in 1978 and remains hard to find. Dietz recalls recording it in a church hall near the Swiss border on a Philips two-track recorder, with cardboard boxes in front of the PA speakers and the tape edited with scissors. He also describes the trouble with the New Blood label, which never delivered the pressed copies. The eleven-minute 'Mogadishu' has, in Dietz's words, a clearly psychedelic character; looking back, he calls krautrock the most fitting description of their music. Garden of Delights reissued 'Fooled Again' on CD in 1999.
