Kongh return after 13 years with Dissolved In Time

Kongh Dissolved In Time 2026

Swedish sludge-doom quartet Kongh release Dissolved In Time on 25 September 2026 via Trust No One Recordings — their first album since 2013's Sole Creation. The record was written and produced by founding member David Johansson, who also handles guitars, bass, electronics and lead vocals. Christian Augustin (Cult of Luna) plays drums and Jörgen Sandström (Grave, Entombed) contributes bass and backing vocals. Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna) mastered at Redmount Studios.

The album comprises three long tracks: the 18-minute opener "Staining the Ether", the 7-minute "Guided to the End" and the 13-minute title track. Geoff Topley, reviewing for Echoes and Dust, describes the opener as "a monstrous proggy sludge dreamland" where clean guitars give way to crushing riffs and Johansson's vocals shift from blackened growl to Ozzy-like rasp. Veil of Sound calls it "a mesmerising proof of the creative force behind the band" and notes the hypnotic, repetitive structures that recall Kongh's early work with YOB and Meshuggah.

Official music videos for both singles — "Staining the Ether" (June 2026) and "Guided to the End" (August 2026) — are available on the band's YouTube channel. Cover artwork is by Giannis Nakos / Remedy Art Design. Pre-orders for CD, transparent red vinyl and digital editions are open at the label and Bandcamp.
