Montreal artist Kee Avil (Vicky Mettler) released her third album Vapor on 9 October via NNA Tapes. The record continues her two-year release cadence following Crease (2022) and Spine (2024). Mettler describes the album as a sonic diary — songs captured as fleeting inspiration appears and dissipates, blending avant-pop, glitch and experimental folk into a cohesive set where melody and noise negotiate their balance. Echoes and Dust reviewer Ljubinko Zivkovic notes Mettler has the right sense of when to let melody rule and when to give space to creative noise. The eight-track album was produced by Kee Avil and Zachary Scholes, recorded and mixed by Scholes, mastered by Guy Hébert at Concrete Mastering, with artwork by Monse Muro and art piece by Elisabeth Perrault. Two tracks were previewed ahead of release; the full album is streaming on Bandcamp.
