Hostile review

The live debut the critic called ridiculous

Released in February 1969. A contemporary hostile review, alongside chart results with their dates.

The verdict at the time

Bangs attacked the live set as a "ridiculous, overbearing, pretentious album" that masked a "paucity of ideas" with intentional crudeness, comparing MC5 unfavourably to Blue Cheer and accusing them of lifting riffs from the Who and the Troggs.
