Hostile review

The review that called it uneven and boring

Released in the United Kingdom on 1 December 1967 and in the United States in January 1968. A hostile contemporary review, alongside chart results with their dates.

The verdict at the time

Miller attacked the record as 'junk heap' noise, accused Hendrix's songs of being 'basically a bore', and called the album 'uneven in quality', while grudgingly conceding the band's instrumental excellence.
