Japanese label P-VINE has announced an LP reissue of the self-titled debut album by Kensuke Ide & His Mothership (井手健介と母船), originally released in 2015. Remastered and cut as a first limited edition (catalog PLP-8420), the record will be released on 17 February 2027 at 4950 yen; the 2017 pressing sold out quickly. P-VINE describes the music as cinematic, poetic and humorous, with Kensuke Ide's hushed vocals alongside contributions from drummer Tatsuhiko Yamamoto, pianist Eishi Ishibashi, chorus singer Satoko Shibata and others. The label's 22 October 2026 announcement is paired with the official music video for "Aoyama Sanzoku" (青い山賊) on the P-VINE channel. The Japanese magazine Ele-king characterized the 2015 debut as a redrawing of the psychedelic-folk front line — that is Ele-king's assessment, not Echo Mandala's, and the recording has not been listened to by the editors.
