C'mon Tigre release LUMINA: electronics meet acoustic tradition

C'mon Tigre

C'mon Tigre's new album LUMINA arrives today, October 2, gathering thirteen tracks that have emerged over the past year. The Italian duo's latest moves further into electronic territory — drum machines, synths and arpeggiators drive much of the record — while oud, cello, xylophone, vibraphone and percussion keep the acoustic side present. The rhythm is more upfront and the club influence stronger, though the band says they haven't made a dance record. Several tracks were road-tested at ROBOT Festival in Bologna and JAZZMI in Milan before studio completion. The video for 'Driver Idle' (feat. Perry Maysun), directed by Marco Molinelli in Unreal Engine 5, premiered earlier this year. LUMINA is out now digitally, on CD and double vinyl via Computer Students.
